The Dog’s Mohawk recently had the pleasure of working with client Monster Mini Golf, a brand of family entertainment centers (30 franchise locations) boasting a unique concept of monster-themed, indoor glow-in-the-dark miniature golf.
They came to us in desperate need of a newly designed and structured website. In fact, during our consultation meeting, when asked what they liked about their website, they said “nothing”. It was clear that as a unique, fun brand, they had outgrown the technological and aesthetic difficulties that made up their website.
As one of the fastest growing family entertainment companies in the nation, their top priority is to provide their valued customers with a fun and engaging experience that will keep them coming back for more. To achieve this, they put their customers at the center of everything they do. As such, the executive team at Monster Mini Golf wanted their website to reflect the excitement and adventure of playing mini golf among scary-but-cool monster décor with custom and animated props at every turn.
So, our job was to design something eye-catching, modern, and sophisticated while staying true to their branding. Of course, this also meant that the website would become completely mobile-friendly.
We even threw out some functional suggestions that they ended up wanting as part of their new website, as well. For example, the top feature they liked was for users to be able to book an event online. They also liked the idea of people being able to fill out an online guest feedback survey, more easily able to follow them on social media channels, and to be able to purchase gift cards and merchandise online.
Our favorite new feature, though, was an interactive map that allowed users to find the Monster Mini Golf location nearest to them based on their city, zip code, or geolocation.
On the backend of the WordPress-based website, we transformed the admin experience from a technologically cumbersome, frustrating one into a simple, easy to navigate, and indestructible masterpiece. In fact, when training the Monster Mini Golf team on how to use and edit their new website, they complimented us saying that the infrastructure we created for them would save them at least 70% of their time!
The developers at The Dog’s Mohawk are proponents of efficiency, which is why we implement our signature infrastructure for each of our clients. This infrastructure allows literally anyone who is in charge of the website to go in and modify content – 100% worry-free.
Overall, Monster Mini Golf has been a pleasure to work with and we are so excited to be able to put our name on this project.
